couldnt find a better place to put this so i hope it works

over the last 3 days i have tried to buy about 5 q9 dryad bows, i offer around 120e at the start and they always take it. when i open trade every time the bow is 14-28 and not max. not a big deal i know but the people i try to sell it too might want max and its just not a risk i want to take.

i think its pretty shitty that non max weapons that are exclusive to a dungeon chest are not even max.

i just wanted to share my frustration with the community and hear what you think

If I got non-max rare weapon, I would be so mad and destroy it right away.

Not merch it, not salvage it, not drop it... destroy it!

This happens occasionally with drops like the Dryad Bow, and it seems to happen more often to players that have been farming the same dungeon repeatedly.

If you're offering less than the "market" value of the item, you have to watch out very carefully for players offering non-max items.

More than likely it's one or two bows that are either being sold on alts or that have been passed around.

Do you mean that the mods aren't max? Because 14-28 is max for a bow.

Wait, nvm, it's 15-28. Never mind me here, my brain is fried. Yeah, I can see that being kind of annoying, as well as a bit weird.

All lv24+ gold/purple Bows, Hammers, Daggers have about ~0.1-0.2% chance to drop 1-off max damage. It's normal.

Bad drops happen, get used to it. I hate crybabies who want ALL their drops to be absolutely perfect. Even the 99.9% chance is not enough... lame.

ive only seen bows drop one off max (happens from z-chest alot) ive never seen anyother weapon drop one off max other than a bow

During many UW runs I have had 7-16 dmg daggers, now I know it's not a big deal as most daggers are cheap. I guess the only fix I can see here is to make weapons drop always max damage from end chests.

The only thing that sucks in my opinion is that arenanet added content for level 20 and experienced players which was required to be purchased to be played and yet non max stuff drops. This is why I never play dungeons unless someone needs me to come along for help, I'll be the nice guy I am and go, I always look forward to getting my 14-21 purple shortsword skin in the end... O.o

After almost 4 years and beating all games I feel I deserve the perfect drops. I'm sure many other can speak for that too.

i agree, if its level 20 content you should get max weapons. the first time i bought one it was 14-28 and i didnt notice, but i still sold it for 143e

It seems to me...

The lower the req required on an item the better chance it is to be non-max damage.

Yes, you can find R9 15-28 bows, but many times they are 14-28. On the flip side, every time I find an R13 it's always max damage.

I've ran Rragar's upwards of 80+ish times and seen 3 drops, 2 being q9 14-28

To be worried about 1 damage is stupid.. if 1 damage means so much to you then u must be doing very little damage to be QQ'ing about 1 extra damage.

1 damage is the difference between 100k for a q9 dryad or 150e. Tell everyone that buys them for 150e that.
